We walk the same path...

My journey of learning to think in a foreign language and using it has led to my becoming a successful professional. I use these insights to guide my students to understand what might be stopping them from becoming proficient in English and feeling they can successfully communicate and understand others. I have been where you are, and I can help you move forward.

My students often say with a relief in their voices that I can explain in an easy to grasp way what they always found troublesome about English. I have taught students from more than 40 different countries in academic English courses and U.S. university academic courses. I have taught all English level skills in intensive language programs, and I have helped my students understand the principles of writing academic papers and become familiar with academic expectations in U.S. universities.

In addition, I have experience teaching first-year undergraduate level writing literature-based courses for international students as well as research writing courses for graduate international students. I have also designed and taught language testing and assessment graduate courses for language instructors.
